Reunion
hey dave,
this is RM2 He'ber USN, Ret. I live in san antonio texas now. I retired from the navy on april 30th 1993. I gave the navy 21 years of my life. I wish I could have gone to the reunion back in 02. me and the wife have been together going on 27 years. both of the kids are grown and on there own the oldest luna is married to another sailor she is a GM2 she teaches the mk.19, mk.25 and 50. cal. she just finished getting her associates she will have her bachelors next year. as soon as she does she is putting in for a commission. my son lon hebert II is a SGT/E-5 in the marines he is following in my footsteps he is a radi operator for the marines at camp pendleton. he is training to go back again for trip #3 to iraq. he is in recon.
as for me I went out in 2006 on civil service disability because of my back I could not take sitting in a chair a long time. I was working for DOD from nov 97 - jan 06. I am now on ss diability. so we do real good. luna had a baby girl 2 years this month. I keep in contact with HT2 Toro. I look at the roanoke web cite time to time. I got an email about a month ago from sammy cortez. if you do not know back in 2000 RM3 Porter died of cancer. he was not doing well. he stopped by my house in corpus christi texas before he went down to mexico, he wanted one last fling. well if you want to contact me I can be reached at: LONHKIRBYTX007@YAHOO.COM
